The Portrait: Giorgos Rorris painting the portrait of Evangelos Averoff
A 30-minute film that follows the painter Giorgos Rorris creating the portrait of Evangelos Averoff. For a period of approximately two and a half months, the course of creation is recorded, from the initial undertaking of the project and the preliminary work to the acquaintance and identification with the figure that Giorgos Rorris is asked to paint. Through interviews and archival footage, the film composes the portrait of Evangelos Averoff and follows the challenging journey from conception until the final completion of the work – which is now exhibited in the E. Averoff Museum of Modern Greek Art.
