A new era for Katogi Averoff Tsipouro

The idea to produce tsipouro at Katogi Averoff was first conceived by Evangelos Averoff himself. Part of the wider drive to develop local Metsovo products, while making the most of the region's grapes, the idea was indeed implemented between 1990 and 2012.

Today, after a decade-long hiatus, tsipouro is relaunched, making a dynamic comeback at Katogi Averoff. After the grapes have been vinified for the production of Katogi Averoff wines, the pomace is used for the production of the distillate. In accordance with the high-quality standards that characterize all of our company's products and services, tsipouro is distilled in a five-plate fractional still, that offers a superior result in terms of quality. It is then bottled in the facilities of our modern distillery, which was recently built on the winery's grounds in the latter’s the ninth expansion.

Katogi Averoff tsipouro, from the heart of Epirus, is released with a new label, which makes clear references to tradition and the region’s aesthetic. Clear, with a pure, distinctive aroma and a delicate soft taste, it brings together all the features that guarantee to make it a great favourite. It is available in two volumes (200ml and 500ml).

Originating from the mountains of Pindus, our tsipouro is heralding a new range of products that utilize existing resources, are in tune with the times and express the creativity that is the trademark of Katogi Averoff.
