Black Squirrel

Dry Red Varietal Wine

Characteristics:

Bright light red color. The nose is intensely aromatic, with hints of ripe red fruit and spice. Tannins are present in the mouth but they are very well integrated, and a pleasant acidity underpins the fresh and aromatic character of this wine. Long, deliciously complex aftertaste.

Vinification:

Separate vinification for each variety. Pre-fermentation maceration at a temperature of 8°C for a week. Alcoholic fermentation lasts about twenty days at temperatures up to 30° C. The final blend matures in stainless steel tanks in the presence of oxygen.

With the purchase of each bottle, one euro (€1) is allocated to "The Black Squirrel Project", a special project that supports the stray animals in Metsovo.

Food Pairing

Loves red and grilled meat; equally good with lighter Mediterranean flavours. Enjoyable with yellow cheese, or by itself, lightly chilled
